It does not rank them by anything we were paid to prefer, and it does not hide a unit because its listing is incomplete — a charger whose manufacturer never published a cable length still appears, labelled not stated, because an incomplete listing is not a worse charger.

How to read the results
The figure on the right of each result is the charger’s output in amps, and beneath it the percentage by which it differs from the median for its own output class. The specification row carries the breaker required — the charger’s output multiplied by 1.25 and rounded up to a standard size, which is what the continuous-load rule demands. Below that sits cable reach against the median for the class, because that is the specification owners most often say they would change.
Where a class holds fewer than 8 listings, no comparison is shown. That is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature.
This is arithmetic, not a design. The breaker figures here are the manufacturer’s published output multiplied by 1.25 and rounded up to the next standard size, which is what the continuous-load rule requires. They tell you what to expect before you call an electrician; they are not a substitute for one, and they say nothing about whether your panel has the capacity, what wire the run needs, or what your local code requires.
Why incomplete listings still appear
Specification coverage across this corpus is uneven. Amperage is published by essentially every listing; cable length by around three quarters; power in kilowatts by fewer still. A filter that dropped everything it could not confirm would discard a third of the catalogue the moment you answered a question — and the units it discarded would not be worse chargers, only less completely described ones.
So a filter here excludes a unit only when its listing positively contradicts what you asked for.
What the finder cannot tell you
It cannot tell you whether your panel has the spare capacity for the circuit a charger needs — that is a load calculation and it needs an electrician who can see the panel. It cannot tell you what the run will cost, because that depends on distance and route. And it cannot tell you whether a charger is well built, because that is not a specification.
